My Home is on a Sea Level!
No wonder it's always pretty hot in there. Anyway, i found a unique feature in Android version of Google maps, maybe you already know it before. It's called Measure on Settings -> Labs. It's pretty useful, to be honest.

Just a note, if you updated your maps app then this feature no longer exists :(

Ow. That's bad.
But you can revert back to the old ones by clearing the updates.

That must be it. I couldn't find it, but with Android 4.3 and the newest version of Maps your explanation makes sense.

My maps is a 6.14.4 one.
And yes, I'm still stuck with 4.0+Tablet mode in my Arc.

Well there you go. I've got Maps version 7.02. Both Maps and Android are updated automatically on my phone.

Well, that's maybe the maps that bundled with Android 4.3
Are you using a Nexus?
